The election of Donald Trump and the early days of his administration starkly illustrate that this is a new era in America politically and socially. The country is intensely polarized, with the communists and globalists in charge of the streets and media, and Trump and his supporters in charge of (parts) of the government. The anti-Trump forces continue to dominate “the narrative” on the old networks and newspapers, while pro-Trump forces counter through the alternative media. As this issue of The Nationalist Times amply documents, Hillary’s coalition refuses to accept losing and is trying to foist a top-down directed and financed “color revolution” on the U.S. by overthrowing the Trump administration at any cost. America is irreparably split and broken; the only question now is how the next four-plus years of acrimony are going to unfold and which side prevails. Writes Charles Lyons (“The Intolerant Politics of Reality”) for Radix Journal.com: “This is a new age in American politics. We no longer live in a nation where friends and family can gather around the dinner table, discuss politics, and simply agree to disagree about some issues (or perhaps even convince one another that the other has a point — shock!). Oh no, those days are no more. The Age of Reason is over. This is bad news for those who fancy themselves as ‘rational skeptics’ or classical liberals. They now find themselves in the ever-shrinking middle ground of politics. Slowly but surely, they are losing grounds to political radicals like antifa, the alt-right, or the various ethno-cultural voting blocs that exist in the U.S. . .What do so-called rationalist classical liberals do when confronted with an extremely irrational political foe? I guess we will find out in due time. I will say that complaining about the ‘intolerant left’ as they are bashing your heads in, setting fires, and smashing windows is probably not going to get you very far. They aren’t really interested in hearing how you are ‘one of the good Trump supporters’ unlike those ‘bad people’ over there, like Richard Spencer. . . We are now beginning to see antifa move their cross-hairs from the likes of Richard Spencer to the likes of the everyday normal Trump supporter. There is no going back folks. The America you grew up loving where you could freely speak about ideas with one another is dead. We now live in the age of the soft totalitarianism of Political Correctness. However, that totalitarianism is quickly losing its softness as we find antifa have gleefully stepped into the role of the modern-day Cheka of the managerial state. It’s time to realize that there is not going to be a rational and logical discussion about the future of the USA, Europe, or Western Civilization. Our political opponents are emotionally and spiritually invested in seeing that we are all destroyed. This is the reality of the situation we find ourselves in. It is time to act accordingly.” . . . . . . . . . . Even long-time conservative establishment writer Peggy Noonan understands the new reality: “The Trump Wars of the past 18 months do not now go away. Now it becomes the Trump Civil War, every day, with Democrats trying to get rid of him and half the country pushing back. To reduce it to the essentials: As long as Mr. Trump’s party holds the House, it will be a standoff. If the Democrats take the House, they will move to oust him. Because we are divided. We are two nations, maybe more.” Hunter Wallace of Occidental Dissent.com elaborates further: “This is the reality that President Trump will be facing. We can have happy talk about finding a new solidarity in civic nationalism, but our common culture has already been so disintegrated by liberalism that force is the only thing really holding this country together. We saw that on display in Washington, D.C., where we had to spend hours walking around the barricades. Because of the confluence of multiculturalism, immigration and Islamic terrorism, the TSA had to cage us in like animals in our own Capitol to protect us from foreign and domestic enemies. It is striking how the Left no longer accepts the norms of civic nationalism: free and fair elections, peaceful transfer of power, free speech, tolerance of dissenting views, the taboo on political violence, equality before the law, the rule of law and order, the value of citizenship, etc. In the name of social justice, the Left ardently believes we ought to do away with all of these things and violently impose a new orthodoxy of -isms and -phobias on the country. The PC Left now has the witch hunting mindset and zeal of the inquisitor armed with the faggot and the stake. They see themselves as being on the sides of the saints and the martyrs while their opponents on the Right are an army of demons. . . If you think this is just a problem for the ‘fringe,’ you aren’t paying close enough attention to what is going on. In the eyes of the rising generation of leftists, it has become heretical to publicly voice a different point of view on taboo subjects like race and sexuality. These people believe state power and vigilante violence should be used to silence ‘hate speech’ and anyone who questions their orthodoxy should be driven from employment, socially ostracized and physically assaulted. Political correctness is a confession. Civic nationalism is an obstacle to the spread of the progressive gospel. Progress is the elimination of heresy. This is a titanic struggle between the forces of good and evil. That’s where we are going with this and for ‘civic nationalism’ to triumph and prove successful it would require these people to undergo a total ideological conversion. Is that realistically going to happen? I don’t think so. We need to brace ourselves for what is coming.” . . . . . . . . . . . It is indeed a most peculiar “left wing” that exists in America. There is no anti-war movement despite the rabid militarism of Washington during both the Bush and Obama administrations. That’s because U.S. foreign policy benefits Israel in that it is killing hundreds of thousands if not millions of Israel’s enemies and turning many Islamic countries into failed states. Yet the “left” protests Trump’s common sense travel ban that targets seven Muslim countries. That’s because the travel ban and what it may portend is seen as slowing the rapid decline and replacement of Whites by non-Whites. Today’s left goosesteps in unison with the globalist goals of the big corporations and big government as all implicitly or explicitly pursue an agenda that decimates the traditional family, traditional values, and historical memory. As the astute Paul Craig Roberts observes: “If a country ever needed a real left-wing, the U.S. surely does. But there is not one. The left-wing’s causes have shrunk down to little more than transgender rights, homosexual rights, lesbian rights, female rights, illegal alien rights, and the persecution of White heterosexual men for opposing these rights. As Jeffrey St. Clair asked the other day, what about the working class? The left demonizes and delegitimizes. Even the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence have been turned into documents of White supremacy. Thomas Jefferson, who happened to live in a time when the work force consisted of slaves, stood for the people against the interests. Nevertheless, the left delegitimizes him as ‘a slave owning serial rapist.’ Donald Trump stands for the people against the off-shoring interests and the military security/complex. One would think the left would support a President so fiercely opposed by the CIA, but, no, Trump is delegitimized as a racist elected by a racist electorate. The hate card overwhelms common sense. Everyone but blacks, hispanics, native Americans, illegals, and the left are racists. This is not a program that connects with the people and leads to reforms. It is not unlikely that Trump will prove to be another disappointment. Even if he is sincere, the organized interest groups are more powerful than the President. As Nomi Prins has shown, even the bankers alone can prevail over the White House. As Robert F. Kennedy reveals in his memoir of the Cuban Missile Crisis, a lesser president than John F. Kennedy would have been shoved by the military/security complex into war with the Soviet Union. Would the world still exist if Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, or Obama had been in JFK’s place? The easiest way for a president to ‘lead’ is to accommodate the agendas of the powerful interest groups. Is this what the left wants Trump to do? If not, why is the left helping the interest groups to force Trump into this role?” Those so eager to criticize President Trump for not doing everything they want him to should keep in mind Roberts’ words, as the President is not only battling the foaming at the mouth left but a significant portion of the establishment of his own party. Nationalists should be thinking solely of what they can do to help build a strong nationalist movement to aid in moving America in the direction that Trump voters want it to go.
