While the “mainstream” media made a big to-do during the presidential campaign when Donald Trump said during a debate that he may not accept the election results if he thought they were fraudulent, since the election, the corporate media, a significant portion of the “deep state,” and of course the communist rabble, have been in a frenzy to delegitimize Trump, an effort that will only intensify after the new President is sworn in. The assault officially began when Hillary Clinton whined about “fake news” influencing the election, blaming “the Russians” and the alternative media. In reality, the furor about “fake news” was the system’s anger about being “found out” via the release of tens of thousands of documents during the run-up to the election by Wikileaks. The government’s corporate media arm studiously ignored or downplayed Wikileaks’ massive revelations of corruption and criminality, but pro-American alternative media outlets did not, contributing to Hillary’s defeat and enraging those who have been used to controlling the media narrative for so long in America. . . . . . . . . . The all-out attack on “fake news” by the long-time masters of it is a two-pronged war: it aims to delegitimize Donald Trump and prevent his administration from succeeding, absolutely destroying it if possible; and at the same time to, as James Kirkpatrick writes for The Unz Review.com, “pathologize dissent – especially the alt-right.” Kirkpatrick’s article, “The Empire Strikes Back: The MSM’s 3-Point Plan to Recapture the Narrative,” lists as the game plan of the masters of deceit: an increase in labeling dissent as extremist, such as referring to the alt-right only as “white supremacists” rather than nationalists or rightists, “literally an Orwellian attempt to eliminate Crimethink through linguistic control. Of course, no such guidelines will apply to non-White. . . groups such as La Raza.” Kirkpatrick then writes that the “fake news” meme will be used to try and shut down dissident media outlets, such as by calling it “Russian propaganda,” the new catch-all charge for anything the intolerant tyrants disagree with. The system’s other mode of attack, writes Kirkpatrick, will be “increased attempts at outright repression, or as V-DARE.com editor Peter Brimelow told the November 2016 NPI conference: ‘What we are going to see in the next few years is an intensified Reign of Terror’.” . . . . . . . . . . The all-out war on Donald Trump and on free speech and truth is being waged with the help of, if not downright direction from, the CIA and other “intelligence” agencies. The CIA has been intertwined with the corporate media since the end of World War II (see Paul Craig Roberts’ article in this issue of The Nationalist Times), and as power in the U.S. has swiftly transformed into a “unitary” surveillance state with strong totalitarian features since 9/11, the CIA’s role in manipulating the corporate media has apparently only been growing. Writes left-libertarian Glenn Greenwald, who worked closely with Edward Snowden when Snowden defected from the NSA and the U.S.: “In January 1961, Dwight Eisenhower delivered his farewell address after serving two terms as U.S. president; the five-star general chose to warn Americans of this specific threat to democracy: ‘In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.’ That warning was issued prior to the decade-long escalation of the Vietnam War, three more decades of Cold War mania, and the post-9/11 era, all of which radically expanded that unelected faction’s power even further. This is the faction that is now engaged in open warfare against the duly elected and already widely disliked president-elect, Donald Trump. They are using classic Cold War dirty tactics and the defining ingredients of what has until recently been denounced as ‘Fake News.’ Their most valuable instrument is the U.S. media, much of which reflexively reveres, serves, believes, and sides with hidden intelligence officials. And Democrats, still reeling from their unexpected and traumatic election loss as well as a systemic collapse of their party, seemingly divorced further and further from reason with each passing day, are willing — eager — to embrace any claim, cheer any tactic, align with any villain, regardless of how unsupported, tawdry and damaging those behaviors might be. . . It is not hard to understand why the CIA preferred Clinton over Trump. Clinton was critical of Obama for restraining the CIA’s proxy war in Syria and was eager to expand that war, while Trump denounced it. Clinton clearly wanted a harder line than Obama took against the CIA’s long-standing foes in Moscow, while Trump wanted improved relations and greater cooperation. In general, Clinton defended and intended to extend the decades-long international military order on which the CIA and Pentagon’s pre-eminence depends, while Trump — through a still-uncertain mix of instability and extremist conviction — posed a threat to it. Whatever one’s views are on those debates, it is the democratic framework — the presidential election, the confirmation process, congressional leaders, judicial proceedings, citizen activism and protest, civil disobedience — that should determine how they are resolved. All of those policy disputes were debated out in the open; the public heard them; and Trump won. Nobody should crave the rule of Deep State overlords. Yet craving Deep State rule is exactly what prominent Democratic operatives and media figures are doing. Any doubt about that is now dispelled. Just last week, Chuck Schumer issued a warning to Trump, telling Rachel Maddow that Trump was being ‘really dumb’ by challenging the unelected intelligence community because of all the ways they possess to destroy those who dare to stand up to them.” . . . . . . . . . . The stakes in the war being waged by the CIA and its obedient media comrades are well summed up by the great patriot Ron Paul: “Those calling for bans on ‘fake news’ are not just trying to censor easily-disproved Internet hoaxes. They are working to create a government-sanctioned ‘gatekeeper’ (to use Hillary Clinton’s infamous phrase) with the power to censor any news or opinion displeasing to the political establishment. None of those wringing their hands over fake news have expressed any concern over the fake news stories that helped lead to the Iraq War. Those fake news stories led to the destabilizing of the Middle East, the rise of ISIS, and the deaths of millions. The war on ‘fake news’ has taken a chilling turn with efforts to label news and opinion sites of alternative news sources as peddlers of Russian propaganda. The main targets are critics of U.S. interventionist foreign policy, proponents of a gold standard, critics of the U.S. government’s skyrocketing debt, and even those working to end police militarization. All have been smeared as anti-American agents of Russia. Just last week, Congress passed legislation creating a special committee, composed of key federal agencies, to counter foreign interference in U.S. elections. There have also been calls for congressional investigations into Russian influence on the elections. Can anyone doubt that the goal of this is to discredit and silence those who question the mainstream media’s pro-welfare/warfare state propaganda? The attempts to ban ‘fake news;’ smear anti-war, anti-Federal Reserve, and other pro-liberty movements as Russian agents; and stop independent organizations from discussing a politician’s record before an election are all parts of an ongoing war on the First Amendment. All Americans, no matter their political persuasion, have a stake in defeating these efforts to limit free speech.” . . . . . . . . . . What’s encouraging is that Donald Trump continues to stand up to those forces trying to destroy him. He has ridiculed the intelligence community, and at a press conference nine days before his inauguration he called CNN a “fake news” outlet. Trump’s views on the First Amendment aren’t known, but he needs to be a strong defender of press freedom not only to preserve the alternative media and all other competition to the utterly discredited “mainstream media,” but to maintain his administration and allow it to follow through on his agenda. . . . . . . . . . . The outstanding writer Gregory Hood is always worth reading. Of the ongoing attempts to delegitimize Trump, he writes: “For weeks before that fateful night in November, Trump was besieged by demands to respect the result of the election, no matter what happened. Clinton used the Left’s favorite scare term, ‘horrifying,’ to describe Trump’s supposed reluctance to do so. . . Any appeal by the American Left to the traditions of the Republic, to America’s patriotic heritage, or to national sovereignty can be dismissed out of hand. For decades, we’ve heard that the Constitution is racist, the Founding Fathers were genocidal slavers, and that America doesn’t show sufficient deference to foreigners, who should be allowed to vote and who should replace this country’s White majority. Such creatures are in no position to speak of what is or is not American. . . One of the many glorious ironies of The Current Year is that Leftists lost because they gaslit themselves. So committed are these supposed egalitarians to snark, they interpreted any evidence Donald Trump could win the election the same way as they would a study on racial differences on IQ. They simply blocked it out of their minds, pretending it didn’t exist. Thus, there wasn’t that sense of urgency which could have driven ‘progressives’ to the polls to frustrate Trump. In Austria, where the anti-White forces had a real fear of defeat, they were able to stop a nationalist victory and so make the head of state a man who thinks his own country is [excrement]. Here, ‘progressives’ simply assumed Clinton would win because it was preordained. As (((Lena Dunham))) aptly summarized it, the presidency was ‘her job.’ It was ‘her turn.’ We were ‘ready for Hillary.’ It was time. Trump’s victory was thus an inversion of a sacred moral order, or what passes for such among deracinated ‘global citizens.’ When your entire self-image is built about status and signaling and the guy you’ve been mocking as ‘Cheeto Jesus’ and “F—face Von Clownstick’ just kicked your ass in the most remarkable political victory in American history, what do you do? The answer is what we are seeing now, where any excuse and any line of attack is being used against Trump, even ones which contradict each other. . . The excitable cries for coups, for Obama to refuse to step down, for war with Russia or for protests in the streets are a reflection that the Left’s project to remake the country demographically has instead deconstructed it entirely. The American state isn’t a loci of identity, but simply a weapon; an arsenal to be warred over by differing tribes who happen to reside in the Hollow Empire. Trump, as a civic nationalist and The Last American, is the last chance to keep the whole project limping along. And the Left won’t even let him do that. We should be grateful for this. The real danger for the American Right is that we will be drafted into an effort to prop up this ramshackle project. If left to its own devices, there is no doubt the Republican Party, even with Trump at the head, will make things much worse. The likes of Paul Ryan will slash programs which benefit Whites, supposedly to keep them sustainable for the Third World future. White Americans will fight and die against Russia in the name of our ‘fellow countrymen’ like the BLM protesters of Chicago and Baltimore, and the hysterical mestizos in the foreign colony of Los Angeles.
